Education. It's Ours - 3rd newsletter

UCU Briefs bring together research, evidence and ideas to help inform debate on the issues affecting our members, our workplaces and the wider education sector. You can read the first UCU Brief here, written by UCU vice-president Mark Pendleton from University of Sheffield.

UCU is holding an open meeting on Friday 20 November (12:30-13:30). Join us to find out more about the Education. It's Ours campaign. The meeting registration link was sent to all members in the Friday email on 16 October 2026. 

In addition, please have a look at the 'Education. It's Ours' campaign website. The site's resources will help UCU build the solidarity, campaigning and action it needs to tackle the crisis in post-16 education. You can see a demonstration of the site and how it works here.

Please share the website in your workplace, via email, WhatsApp and social media - all of this will help to build both awareness and momentum. Finally, 23 members of UK parliament have signed an early day motion (EDM948) in support of the 'Education. It's Ours' campaign.
