Executive Committee nominations open until 14 October

Nominations for OU UCU branch officerships and executive member positions are open until 4pm on Monday 14th October 2019, as explained in the calling notice. Please think about standing if you have an interest in trade union work, or a desire to help your fellow employees with work related matters. Our branch's election cycle rule change ballot closed on 1st October 2019 and the proposed changes were passed by a large majority, (over 97%) of those who voted. This means the term of office of those elected this Autumn will be shorter than usual, about 7 months, but the next few months look like being very important, and we welcome nominations from members in all staff categories.  We have eleven branch officers and up to twelve ordinary branch executive committee members to elect. For the branch to be representative it is desirable that we have members from all sections of Open University staff on our branch committee.

The election results will be announced at our AGM on 21st November 2019.
