OU UCU Workload survey

Excessive workload in parts of the university is often flagged up to us by our reps and caseworkers.

UCU has developed a workload survey which we are inviting all members to fill in at this address: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/8PBG6GR, to find out how widespread this is, and to find out how many of you are feeling under pressure.

The survey is anonymous, and your input will be treated as confidential. The survey should take between 20-25 minutes to complete in full, although many of the questions are optional so it is possible to complete it in fewer than 10 minutes. However, the more questions you answer the better the information we will have about (for example) the impact of GTP, the REF, and changes in the university.

An additional reason for running the survey now is to have baseline information which can be used later to compare with the situation after the employee led voluntary severance (ELVS) leavers have gone.

Please note that this survey has been designed by UCU and is focused specifically on workload, and is separate from the 2018 OU Staff Engagement Survey which the OU will be inviting staff to complete later this month.
