Your pension is under attack – do you want to find out more? Come to our Open meeting on USS where the speaker will be Christine Haswell, UCU National Pensions Official.

Non-members are welcome to attend.

UCU say:

• The stakes have never been higher - USS is valued by both employers and staff and we need to make sure that continues
• We need to protect DB
• Flawed assumptions underpin the deficit
• The employer covenant is strong
• USS has positive cash flow and is an open scheme with a long horizon
• USS benefits are already lower than those in the Teacher’s Pension Scheme

Employers can afford to pay more. The UCU consultative ballot was 87% in favour of industrial action to defend our pension.
