Gerry started her journey with the OU in 1996 completing a PGCE after graduating from the University of Nottingham. She then went on to complete a Med and had roles in education, LA services, Higher education and charities such as the Princes Trust. Gerry worked for the department of education developing practice and policy for narrowing the gap and supported the development of forest schools and alternative curriculum.
Gerry is passionate about the rights and dignity of all individuals who learn and support and invest in others in learning and work to remove all barriers for students and AL's. Gerry has just completed an HE qualification in teaching and learning at the University of London and graduated with fellow academics from 120 countries from around the world, it was a fabulous day.
